Graphic Design

I’m a graphic designer with a skilled eye for creating impactful marketing imagery and design. Self-employed since 2007, my business is successful because it’s less about me, and more about my clients. I create logos, brand identities, brochures, tradeshow graphics, banners, book covers and spreads, and everything in between. People hire me because I help make their businesses more profitable.

If you’re looking for a hard working, skilled and very down-to-earth designer then look no further. For a sample of my work, check out my portfolio →

“Working with Laura on designing the inside and cover for my book was an excellent experience. Laura has a highly creative artistic skill which gives her great insight into what looks good. Her calm approach to the collaborative process made it very easy to work together. I absolutely love the design she came up with for my book and I get extremely positive feedback from readers.”

Fine Art ceramics

My artwork flows and develops from a basic desire to reflect and react to my life and its circumstances. It is consistently fueled by questions I ask myself concerning the realities I am confronted with.

Currently, I am interested in playful glazing, textures, and other subtleties that happen when I work with clay. My art explores innocence with a focus on birth.
Keeping the forms simple, my work is about color, texture and space. click here to see some of my various works →

Childbirth Classes empowering couples

Birth has changed me. I am now consumed in the power of birth and the impact it can have on the child, mother & partner. I strive to inspire mothers to give birth naturally & unmedicated allowing them the chance to experience an amazing journey on their terms.

I am also working to normalize and revalue all aspects of motherhood in our society via education, outreach, community events and activism. I am passionate about educating and empowering expectant mothers and couples about their options and choices for their beautiful birth journey. Click here for more info →

“My birth was the most exhausting, yet the most exhilarating day of my entire life. I just want to say thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart for teaching me, encouraging me, etc. I couldn’t have done it without you and trust me when I say you are gonna make such an impact on so many people’s lives if you continue on the path you are on. I have never felt so strong in all my life and I have such an amazing sense of pride that I didn’t even know was possible. Thank you, thank you, thank you… A million times thank you!” -The Millers

Henna body art

As a childbirth educator and postpartum doula I am submerged in the wonderful world of pregnancy and birth. I feel women should be celebrated, especially during pregnancy. Henna body art is an ancient way to honor the pregnant woman’s inner strength as she prepares for birth. The henna paste gently and painlessly stains the outer layer of skin and then gradually fades away over about 5 days. click here to see some of my work →

Postpartum Doula

A Postpartum doula is a trained professional who will provide emotional, physical and educational support while assisting parents to care for the new born on their own..

The Postpartum Doula’s assistance is needed after the birth of a baby when extended help is not available.  For new parents, having a baby is a time of great joy but the challenges of a new baby can be numerous.  Much emphasis has been on the pregnancy and birth, and now that baby has arrived many parents fill ill-prepared for the daily routine care that they now need to provide.
